Working principle and function of water reuse equipment in SSCC multi membrane method

Construction:
Mechanical filter: usually made of stainless steel tank, filled with filter materials such as quartz sand inside.
Activated carbon filter: It is also a stainless steel tank filled with activated carbon, usually coconut shell activated carbon, with a large specific surface area and strong adsorption capacity.
Security filter: composed of a stainless steel shell and a built-in PP melt blown filter element, with a filter element accuracy of usually 5 μ m.
Double membrane treatment unit: The core components are CCUF ultrafiltration (microfiltration) membrane and SSRO reverse osmosis membrane, usually installed in stainless steel membrane shells. Different numbers of membrane elements can be configured according to the treatment water volume and quality requirements.
Other auxiliary components: including pipelines, valves, pumps (such as high-pressure pumps, metering pumps, etc.), control systems (such as PLC controllers, touch screens, etc.), and liquid level sensors.
effect:
Mechanical filter: removes impurities such as rust, sediment, algae, suspended solids, etc. from water through filtration, reduces the turbidity of water, meets the requirements of subsequent treatment, and protects subsequent membrane components from damage caused by large particle impurities.
Activated carbon filter: Utilizing the adsorption performance of activated carbon, it can adsorb residual chlorine, discoloration, odor, organic matter, etc. in water, reduce the content of organic matter and residual chlorine concentration in water, prevent residual chlorine from causing oxidative damage to reverse osmosis membranes, and further improve water quality.
Security filter: intercepts fine particles remaining in the pre treated water, ensuring that the water entering the reverse osmosis membrane does not contain particles larger than 5 μ m, avoiding particle blockage or scratching of the reverse osmosis membrane, and ensuring the stable operation of the reverse osmosis system.
Double membrane treatment unit: CCUF ultrafiltration (microfiltration) membrane can remove impurities such as macromolecular organic matter, colloids, bacteria, etc. in water, further reducing the turbidity and SDI value (pollution index) of water, and the SS removal rate is very high. SSRO reverse osmosis membrane uses the principle of reverse osmosis to remove salt, small molecule organic matter, etc. from water, making the effluent quality meet the standard of reclaimed water reuse, and the reclaimed water reuse rate can reach over 60%.
Auxiliary components: Pipes and valves are used to connect various processing units and control the direction of water flow; Pumps provide power for the flow of water, high-pressure pumps provide the required pressure for the operation of reverse osmosis membranes, and metering pumps are used to add scale inhibitors and other chemicals; The control system realizes the automated operation of equipment, such as automatic control of filtration, backwashing, dosing and other processes. It also has functions such as automatic liquid level control, automatic shutdown and cleaning at high water levels, automatic startup and pre-treatment backwashing at low water levels, and water shortage protection; The liquid level sensor is used to monitor the water level in the water tank, so that the control system can control the operation status of the equipment according to the water level situation.

1、 Working principle
The core of the SSCC multi membrane water reuse equipment is to treat wastewater (reclaimed water) to a reusable standard through a stepped purification process of “pretreatment+dual membrane separation”. The specific process is as follows:
pre-processing
The raw water (reclaimed water) first enters the pretreatment system and is sequentially removed of suspended solids, colloids, organic matter, residual chlorine, and other impurities through mechanical filters, activated carbon filters, and security filters
Mechanical filters utilize the retention effect of filter materials such as quartz sand to reduce water turbidity;
Activated carbon filters remove organic matter, discolored odors, and residual chlorine through adsorption to prevent oxidation of subsequent membrane components;
The security filter (5 μ m precision PP filter element) intercepts residual fine particles and protects the subsequent membrane system.
Double membrane deep processing stage
The pre treated water enters the core “CCUF ultrafiltration (or microfiltration)+SRRO reverse osmosis” dual membrane system:
CCUF ultrafiltration (microfiltration) membrane: using membrane pores with a pore size of 0.01-0.1 μ m, driven by pressure, it intercepts large molecular organic matter, colloids, bacteria, viruses, etc. in water, further reducing the pollution index (SDI) and providing qualified influent for reverse osmosis membranes;
SSRO reverse osmosis membrane: using a semi permeable membrane with a pore size of only 0.0001 μ m, under high pressure (usually 1-1.5 MPa), only water molecules are allowed to pass through, intercepting salt (ions), small molecule organic matter, heavy metals, etc. in water, and producing high-purity recycled water.
Automation Control and Auxiliary Systems
The equipment is controlled by a PLC system and sensors (such as liquid level, pressure, flow rate, etc.) to achieve fully automatic operation, including valve switching, pump start stop, membrane cleaning (regular backwashing or chemical cleaning), etc., ensuring stability and efficiency; Auxiliary components (pipes, valves, high-pressure pumps, etc.) ensure smooth water flow and path.
2、 Main function
Reuse of reclaimed water to save water resources: treat industrial wastewater (such as electroplating wastewater, printing and dyeing wastewater, etc.) to reuse standards (such as process water, circulating cooling water replenishment water, etc.), reduce fresh water consumption, lower enterprise water costs, and comply with water-saving and emission reduction policies.
Deep purification to ensure water quality: Through the synergistic effect of dual membrane method, pollutants (suspended solids, organic matter, salt, heavy metals, etc.) in water are greatly removed, and the effluent quality is stable, which can meet the reuse requirements of different industrial scenarios (such as conductivity can be reduced to below 10 μ S/cm).
Reduce emissions and protect the environment: Reduce wastewater discharge and pollutant concentration, alleviate water pollution, and help enterprises achieve environmental standards, especially suitable for high pollution and high water consumption industries.
Automated operation improves efficiency: Fully automated control reduces manual operation, lowers maintenance difficulty, and extends the lifespan of membrane components through intelligent monitoring and cleaning, ensuring long-term stable operation of equipment.
In summary, the SSCC multi membrane water reuse equipment achieves efficient recovery and recycling of industrial wastewater through a combination process of “pretreatment+dual membrane deep purification”, with multiple values of water conservation, environmental protection, and economy.
