Ultrafiltration Water Filtration Fully Automatic Reverse Osmosis DesalinationEquipment

This equipment is an integrated high-efficiency water treatment device that combines ultrafiltration (UF) pretreatment technology with fully automatic reverse osmosis (RO) desalination core technology. It is mainly used for deep purification and desalination of raw water with high salinity, high turbidity or complex impurities (such as tap water, groundwater, surface water, reclaimed water), and can stably produce low-salinity pure water/ultrapure water that meets industrial, commercial or drinking water standards. The full-automatic control system realizes unmanned operation of the whole process, with high intelligence, stable water production and low manual maintenance cost.

Core Working Principle

The equipment adopts a two-stage purification process: ultrafiltration pretreatment + reverse osmosis deep desalination, and the full-automatic control system links the operation of all components to realize intelligent start/stop, pressure regulation, flushing and protection.
  1. Ultrafiltration filtration principle: Rely on ultrafiltration membrane with a pore size of 0.01~0.1 microns as the core, under the action of raw water pressure, water molecules and small molecular substances pass through the membrane pores, while suspended solids, colloids, microorganisms, macromolecular organic matters, turbidity substances in water are intercepted and discharged with the concentrated water of ultrafiltration. It realizes deep removal of macromolecular impurities without adding chemical agents (or a small amount), and the effluent has low turbidity and stable quality.
  2. Reverse osmosis desalination principle: On the basis of qualified ultrafiltration effluent, the high-pressure pump increases the water pressure to higher than the osmotic pressure of the solution, and the reverse osmosis membrane (pore size 0.0001 microns) selectively intercepts more than 97% of dissolved salts (such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride ions), heavy metals, bacteria, viruses and small molecular organic matters in water, and only allows water molecules to pass through the membrane to form pure water; the intercepted impurities are discharged as RO concentrated water to achieve desalination and deep purification.
  3. Fully automatic control logic: The PLC/microcomputer control system monitors the key parameters (water level, pressure, flow, conductivity) of each link in real time. When the pure water tank is short of water, it automatically starts water production; when the tank is full, it stops running; when the pressure is too high/low, the system automatically alarms and shuts down for protection; it can also set regular automatic flushing of ultrafiltration membrane and reverse osmosis membrane to prevent membrane pollution and extend service life.

Main Component System (Integrated Design)

The equipment is a modular integrated device, and all components are assembled on the frame with pipeline connection, small floor area and easy installation. The core components are divided into 5 systems, and the full-automatic control system runs through the whole process:

1. Raw Water Pretreatment System (Pre-UF Protection)

  • Coarse filter/PP melt-blown filter (5μm): Remove large particle impurities (sand, rust, sediment) in raw water to prevent scratching the ultrafiltration membrane;
  • Cartridge filter: Further remove fine suspended solids, ensure the turbidity of ultrafiltration inlet water meets the standard, and protect the ultrafiltration membrane module.

2. Ultrafiltration (UF) Filtration Core System

  • Ultrafiltration membrane module (hollow fiber type is the main type): The core of pretreatment, with high flux, strong pollution resistance and easy flushing;
  • UF backwashing device: Equipped with clean water tank and backwashing pump, the control system automatically backflushes the membrane with pure water regularly to remove the impurities adsorbed on the membrane surface;
  • UF concentrated water discharge valve: Automatically adjust the discharge flow to control the operation flux of the ultrafiltration membrane.

3. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Desalination Core System

  • High-pressure pump: Provide the pressure required for reverse osmosis desalination (the pressure is adjusted according to the raw water salinity, generally 1.0~4.0MPa);
  • RO membrane module (low pressure/high pressure type optional): Select the corresponding membrane according to the raw water quality (such as brackish water membrane for groundwater desalination, seawater membrane for high salinity raw water);
  • Scale inhibitor dosing device (automatic): Automatically add food-grade/industrial scale inhibitor to the RO inlet water to prevent calcium and magnesium ions from scaling on the RO membrane surface;
  • RO membrane shell: Sealed pressure-bearing container for placing RO membrane elements;
  • Concentrated water regulating valve: Adjust the recovery rate of RO system (generally 50%~75%) and control the salinity of concentrated water.

4. Pure Water Storage & Post-Treatment System

  • Sealed pure water tank: Store the RO produced pure water, with liquid level sensor connected to the automatic control system to realize water level interlock control;
  • Post-treatment device (optional): According to the water use demand, configure UV sterilizer/ozone sterilizer (kill residual microorganisms), pH adjustment device (adjust the pH value of pure water to neutral) or EDI ultra-pure water module (for producing ultra-pure water with conductivity ≤0.1μS/cm for electronic, pharmaceutical and other industries).

5. Fully Automatic Control & Auxiliary System

  • PLC/microcomputer controller + touch screen: The core of automatic control, real-time display of operating parameters (inlet/outlet water pressure, flow, conductivity, water level, membrane flushing time), support parameter setting and fault record query;
  • Sensors (liquid level, pressure, conductivity, flow): Collect real-time data and transmit it to the controller to realize automatic interlock;
  • Solenoid valves/ball valves (automatic): Realize automatic on/off of each pipeline, complete the switching of water production, flushing and stop working conditions;
  • Alarm device: Acousto-optic alarm for abnormal conditions (low raw water pressure, high RO pressure, high pure water conductivity, low water level of pure water tank);
  • Power distribution cabinet: Provide stable power supply for the whole equipment, with overvoltage, overcurrent and leakage protection functions.

Core Product Features

  1. High purification & desalination efficiency

    Ultrafiltration pretreatment realizes turbidity removal rate ≥99% and microorganism removal rate ≥99%, and the subsequent reverse osmosis desalination rate ≥97% (up to 99% for low salinity raw water). The produced water has low conductivity (generally ≤10μS/cm for tap water/groundwater desalination), and the water quality is stable and up to standard.

  4. Membrane protection, long service life

    The ultrafiltration membrane is equipped with automatic backwashing, and the reverse osmosis membrane is equipped with automatic flushing and scale inhibitor automatic dosing device, which effectively prevents membrane pollution and scaling, prolongs the service life of ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis membrane, and reduces the replacement cost of consumables.

  5. Integrated modular design

    All components are integrated on the steel frame, with compact structure, small floor area, standardized pipeline and quick installation; the equipment is easy to move and can be used for both fixed and mobile water production.

  6. Intelligent monitoring & fault protection

    The touch screen displays all operating parameters in real time, and the system has multiple protection functions (low pressure shutdown, high pressure alarm, over-conductivity shutdown, water level interlock). Fault information is automatically recorded, which is convenient for later maintenance and troubleshooting.

Daily Maintenance & Operation Tips

  1. Regular replacement of consumables: Replace the PP melt-blown filter element and cartridge filter element every 3~6 months (according to the raw water turbidity); the ultrafiltration membrane is replaced every 3~5 years, and the reverse osmosis membrane is replaced every 2~4 years.
  2. Check the dosing device: Ensure that the scale inhibitor is sufficient, and replace the scale inhibitor in time to prevent RO membrane scaling; check the dosing pump flow regularly to ensure accurate dosing.
  3. Clean the pure water tank: Clean and disinfect the sealed pure water tank regularly (every 6~12 months) to prevent secondary pollution of pure water.
  4. Avoid idle for a long time: If the equipment is not used for a long time, flush the ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis membrane with pure water, and fill the membrane with protective liquid to prevent membrane drying and damage.
  5. Regular calibration of sensors: Calibrate the conductivity meter, pressure gauge and flow meter every year to ensure the accuracy of automatic control parameters.
