Core Design Logic of 2:1 Flux Matching
- Guarantee stable water supply for RO: The ultrafiltration effluent is far more than the RO water intake demand, avoiding the pressure fluctuation and water supply interruption of the RO system caused by the temporary flux reduction of the ultrafiltration membrane due to slight pollution, and ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the RO system.
- Optimize RO inlet water quality: The excess ultrafiltration effluent is used as flushing water for the ultrafiltration membrane itself (automatic backwashing) and the front pipeline, which keeps the ultrafiltration membrane surface clean for a long time, and the RO inlet water always maintains low turbidity (SDI≤3) and low organic matter content, fundamentally reducing the scaling and pollution risk of the RO membrane.
- Improve system flexibility: The redundant ultrafiltration flux can be used as raw water for direct use (such as domestic miscellaneous water) when the pure water demand is low, realizing the classification and reuse of water resources (ultrafiltration water for miscellaneous use + RO pure water for high-standard use), and improving the overall water utilization rate of the system.
Whole Process Working Principle
- Raw water pretreatment: Raw water is pumped into the coarse filter and precision filter to remove large particle impurities (sand, rust, sediment) above 5μm, protecting the ultrafiltration membrane from physical scratching; the optional automatic dosing device (coagulant) can be added for high-turbidity raw water to improve the ultrafiltration impurity removal efficiency.
- 2m³/h ultrafiltration deep purification: Driven by raw water pressure, the pretreated water enters the ultrafiltration membrane module (hollow fiber type, pore size 0.01~0.1μm), intercepting ≥99% of turbidity, colloids, bacteria, algae and macromolecular organics; the ultrafiltration effluent (pure water side) has stable quality (turbidity ≤0.1NTU, SDI≤3), and 2 tons of qualified ultrafiltration water is produced per hour.
- Water distribution buffer: The ultrafiltration effluent enters the buffer water tank, and the integrated water distribution valve group distributes 1m³/h of water to the RO system as inlet water, and the remaining 1m³/h is allocated to the UF backwashing system (for regular membrane flushing) and miscellaneous water supply port (for direct use); the buffer tank effectively stabilizes the water pressure and flow of RO inlet water, avoiding RO system failure caused by water flow fluctuation.
- 1m³/h reverse osmosis desalination: The 1m³/h ultrafiltration water is pressurized to 1.0~2.5MPa by the high-pressure pump and enters the RO membrane module; the RO membrane (pore size 0.0001μm) intercepts ≥97% of dissolved salts, heavy metals, nitrate, trace organic matters and residual microorganisms, producing 1 ton of standard pure water per hour (conductivity ≤10μS/cm for tap water/groundwater, ≤20μS/cm for surface water); the RO concentrated water is discharged or partially recycled (improving water recovery rate).
- Pure water storage: The RO pure water is stored in a sealed pure water tank, and the liquid level sensor is linked with the system control cabinet to realize automatic start/stop of the whole system (stop water production when the tank is full, start automatically when the water level is low).
- Post-treatment (optional): According to the water use demand, configure UV sterilizer (kill residual microorganisms), pH adjustment device (adjust pH to 6.5~8.5, suitable for drinking water), and precision filter (0.22μm, terminal filtration) to further optimize the pure water quality and meet the higher standard water use requirements.

Core Product Features
- 2:1 scientific flux matching, stable system operation
The ultrafiltration flux is twice that of reverse osmosis, which not only guarantees the sufficient and stable water supply of the RO system, but also uses redundant ultrafiltration water for membrane backwashing, fundamentally solving the problems of RO membrane pollution and system pressure fluctuation caused by unstable raw water quality, and the continuous water production rate of the system is ≥99%.
- Dual-stage deep purification, high and stable water quality
Ultrafiltration as deep pretreatment removes most macromolecular impurities, and reverse osmosis as core desalination removes dissolved salts and trace pollutants; the produced water quality is stable (conductivity ≤10μS/cm, turbidity ≤0.1NTU, bacteria ≤0CFU/mL), which can meet the national standards of industrial pure water (GB/T 19249-2018) and drinking pure water (GB 17323-1998) (after post-treatment).
- Full automatic operation, no manual duty
The whole system is controlled by PLC with touch screen, realizing automatic start/stop (linked with pure water tank liquid level), automatic backwashing of ultrafiltration membrane, automatic flushing of RO membrane, automatic dosing and automatic alarm; no on-site manual operation is required, saving labor costs, and the operation threshold is low (ordinary staff can operate after simple training).
- Classified water reuse, high water utilization rate
The system realizes classification output of water quality: 1m³/h RO pure water for high-standard use (industrial process, drinking), 1m³/h UF water for low-standard miscellaneous use (greening irrigation, road flushing, toilet flushing); the overall water utilization rate of the system is ≥60% (higher than the traditional single RO system of 50%), saving water resources and reducing sewage discharge.
- Modular skid-mounted design, easy installation and maintenance
All components are integrated on a stainless steel skid-mounted frame, with standardized pipelines and quick-connect joints; the on-site installation only needs to connect the raw water pipe, pure water pipe and power supply (380V/220V), which can be put into use in 1~2 days; the modular design makes the replacement of consumables (filter element, membrane) simple and fast, with low maintenance difficulty.
- Strong raw water adaptability, wide application
Suitable for various raw water types: surface water (river/lake water, turbidity ≤200NTU), groundwater (high turbidity/high hardness), pretreated urban reclaimed water and tap water with unstable quality; the system can be adjusted by simple parameter setting (dosing flow, backwashing frequency) to adapt to different raw water quality, with strong anti-interference ability.
- Membrane protection design, long service life of core components
Ultrafiltration membrane is equipped with automatic regular backwashing and chemical cleaning port (for severe pollution); RO membrane is equipped with automatic flushing (start/stop flushing), scale inhibitor automatic dosing and low-pressure operation design; the service life of ultrafiltration membrane is 3~5 years, and the service life of RO membrane is 2~4 years, which is longer than the traditional non-matched system, reducing the replacement cost of consumables.
- Complete protection functions, high equipment safety
The system is equipped with multiple protection functions: raw water pump dry running protection, high-pressure pump overload protection, UF/RO high/low pressure protection, unqualified water quality interception protection, liquid level over-limit protection; it can automatically alarm and shut down for faults, avoiding equipment damage caused by misoperation or abnormal raw water quality, and the equipment operation safety factor is high.
