System Composition3
- Raw Water Tank (Optional) : Used to store raw water, precipitate large sediment particles and other precipitable substances in the water, and buffer the impact of unstable water pressure in the raw water pipe on the water – treatment system.
- Raw Water Pump : It can keep the water supply pressure of the system constant and ensure a stable water supply.
- Multimedia Filter : It contains multiple – layer filter media, which is mainly used to remove sediment, rust, colloidal substances, suspended solids and other substances with a particle size of more than 20um in the raw water. It can be controlled by a manual valve or an automatic controller for back – flushing and forward – flushing operations.
- Activated Carbon Filter : Usually, nut – shell activated carbon is used. It can adsorb electrolyte ions and organic matter, remove the color and odor of water, reduce the residual chlorine value, and remove pesticide pollutants and trihalomethanes (THM) in water.
- Ion Softening System/Dosing System : In order to prevent the concentration product of calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, etc. in the concentrated water side of the reverse osmosis membrane module from exceeding the equilibrium solubility product and precipitating, an ion softening device is used or an appropriate amount of scale inhibitor is added before the water enters the reverse osmosis membrane module.
- Precision Filter : It is equipped with a 5um melt – blown filter element to remove the remaining suspended solids, non – straight – grain substances and colloids in the influent water, preventing impurities larger than 5um from entering the reverse osmosis device and damaging the surface of the membrane.
- High – pressure Pump : It is the core power source of the reverse osmosis system. A high – performance stainless – steel multi – stage centrifugal pump is usually selected, which can provide a stable working pressure (usually between 1.0 and 1.5MPa) for the reverse osmosis membrane.
- Reverse Osmosis Membrane Module : It is the core component of the system, and polyamide composite reverse osmosis membranes are generally used. Working Principle
The system uses the principle of reverse osmosis. Under the action of high – pressure pump, the raw water is pressurized and passes through the semi – permeable membrane. The semi – permeable membrane has a selective penetration effect, which allows water molecules to pass through, but intercepts most of the solutes such as salts, heavy metals, organic matters and bacteria in the water.
