Source Water tank Sand Filter Carbon Filter Softener Precision Filter One Stage Reverse Osmosis Belt Ultraviolet Water Treatment
Product description
This system is a complete process drinking water purification equipment that purifies raw water such as tap water and groundwater into safe drinking water through a step-by-step process of “pretreatment → softening → deep desalination → terminal sterilization”. It is widely used in centralized water supply scenarios such as schools, communities, hotels, and office buildings. The following provides a detailed explanation from three aspects: system composition, working principle, and core advantages:
1、 Core components and functions of the system
1. Source Water Tank
Construction: Made of 304 stainless steel or food grade PE material, with a capacity of 1-2 hours of water production for the system, equipped with liquid level sensors, overflow pipes, and drain valves. Some models include mixing devices (to prevent water quality stratification).
Function:
Cache raw water (tap water, groundwater, etc.), balance the fluctuation of inlet pressure, and ensure continuous and stable inlet water for subsequent equipment;
Preliminary precipitation of large particle impurities (such as sediment) to reduce pre-treatment load;
Control the start and stop of the front-end water pump through liquid level linkage to prevent equipment from idling and damage due to water shortage.
2. Sand Filter
Construction: 304 stainless steel tank body, equipped with gradient quartz sand filter material (upper layer 0.8-1.2mm coarse sand, lower layer 0.5-0.8mm fine sand), equipped with fully automatic backwash valve group (timed or pressure differential triggered).
Function:
Physically intercepting suspended impurities such as sediment, rust, algae, colloids, etc. in raw water, reducing turbidity from 10-30NTU to ≤ 1NTU;
Protect subsequent carbon filters, softeners, and reverse osmosis membranes to prevent hard particles from scratching or blocking core components.
3. Carbon Filter
Construction: Same material tank body, filled with high iodine value coconut shell particle activated carbon (specific surface area ≥ 1000m ²/g), and operated in conjunction with a sand filter.
Function:
Adsorption of residual chlorine (disinfection residue in tap water, removal rate>99%), organic matter (such as pesticides, humic acid), odors, and pigments in water;
Prevent residual chlorine oxidation from damaging subsequent reverse osmosis membranes (polyamide membranes are sensitive to chlorine), while improving water quality and taste.
4. Softener
Construction: Stainless steel tank body, filled with sodium cation exchange resin (such as 001 × 7), equipped with salt tank (storing 8-10% NaCl solution) and fully automatic regeneration control valve.
Function:
Remove calcium (Ca ² ⁺) and magnesium (Mg ² ⁺) ions from water through ion exchange, reducing the hardness from 300-500mg/L (calculated as CaCO3) to ≤ 5mg/L;
Prevent hardness ions from scaling on the surface of reverse osmosis membranes and extend the membrane cleaning cycle to 12-18 months;
To avoid scale buildup on terminal water devices (such as water heaters and coffee machines) and enhance user experience.
5. Precision Filter
Construction: 304 stainless steel shell, built-in 5 μ m PP folding filter element (3-5 pieces, configured according to flow rate), quick opening design for easy replacement of filter element.
Function:
Retain fine particles (such as resin fragments and activated carbon powder) remaining after pre-treatment, ensuring that the SDI (Pollution Index) entering the reverse osmosis membrane is ≤ 5;
As the ‘last line of defense’ of the reverse osmosis system, it absolutely protects the membrane components from damage.
6. One Stage Reverse Osmosis system
Core components:
High pressure pump (made of 304 stainless steel material, providing 1.0-1.5MPa pressure);
Reverse osmosis membrane module (roll type composite membrane, such as Dow BW30-400, desalination rate ≥ 99.5%);
Fully automatic valve group (regulating the proportion of concentrated water discharge, with a recovery rate of 60% -75%);
Conductivity meter (real-time monitoring of water purity, automatic discharge for exceeding standards).
Function:
Deep desalination: intercepting over 99% of soluble salts (such as NaCl), heavy metals (Pb ² ⁺, Cr ⁶⁺), bacteria, and large organic compounds;
Produced water quality: conductivity ≤ 50 μ S/cm, in compliance with the “Sanitary Standards for Drinking Water” (GB 5749-2022) for direct drinking.
7. Belt Ultraviolet Sterilizer
Construction: 304 stainless steel chamber, built-in 254nm wavelength UV lamp (power configured according to flow rate, such as 30W for 10m ³/h), irradiation time ≥ 30 seconds, some models include lamp operation status monitoring.
Function:
Kill potential residual microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, spores) in reverse osmosis wastewater with a sterilization rate of ≥ 99.99%;
Prevent the growth of bacteria in pure water during storage or transportation, and ensure the sterile and safe drinking water at the terminal.
2、 System workflow
Raw water buffer: Raw water enters the source water tank buffer and is stably supplied through liquid level control.
Pre treatment purification:
Sand filter removes large particle impurities and reduces turbidity;
The carbon filter adsorbs residual chlorine, organic matter, and odors to protect subsequent membrane components.
Softening and hardness removal: The softener removes calcium and magnesium ions, prevents scaling, and improves water hardness.
Precision filtration: The 5 μ m filter element intercepts fine particles and provides qualified inlet water for the reverse osmosis membrane.
Reverse osmosis desalination: After being pressurized by a high-pressure pump, water molecules pass through the reverse osmosis membrane to form pure water, and the salt is discharged along with the concentrated water, resulting in water purity reaching the standard.
Terminal sterilization: UV sterilizers kill microorganisms to ensure sterile drinking water, which is ultimately transported to the terminal water point or storage tank.
3、 Core advantages and applicable scenarios
Core advantages
Full process purification: from impurity removal, deodorization, de hardening to desalination and sterilization, all in one step, the produced water can be directly consumed;
Safe and reliable: Double protection of reverse osmosis deep desalination and ultraviolet sterilization, removing harmful substances such as heavy metals and microorganisms;
Automatic operation: PLC control system links various units, automatically backwashing, regenerating, and alarming, without the need for manual duty;
Widely applicable: Suitable for different raw water quality (tap water, groundwater), meeting the needs of various centralized water supply scenarios.
Applicable scenarios
Public buildings: direct drinking water systems in schools, office buildings, and shopping malls, providing safe and convenient drinking water;
Accommodation facilities: water supply in guest rooms and public areas of hotels, apartments, and homestays to improve the quality of drinking water;
Catering industry: Use water for beverage production in restaurants and cafes to avoid water quality affecting taste;
Medical institutions: Outpatient and physical examination centers emphasize safe and sterile drinking water for employees and patients.
summarize
The system adopts a closed-loop design of “multi-stage pretreatment+deep desalination+terminal sterilization” to comprehensively solve the problems of impurities, odors, hardness, salinity, and microorganisms in raw water, and produce safe and reliable direct drinking water. Its automated operation characteristics reduce maintenance costs and are widely applicable to centralized scenarios with high requirements for drinking water safety and quality, making it an ideal solution for modern public water supply.
